BBrit Project is a content platform that aims to amplify the people, places, events, histories and ideas that embody the Black British experience. We seek to unearth stories from the multilayered cultures, communities and lifestyles that represent the millions of People of African Descent (PAD) who call the United Kingdom home. Along the way, we hope to be a center for uplifting, informative and authentic voices. We invite you to join us here.

London-born multimedia journalist, professor and author Olive Vassell founded the project in 2022. She has worked in a variety of media in the UK and abroad and has authored texts on Black Britain including on the press and memorial culture.

Lisette Felix, who joined in 2023, is a London-born trained sociologist and writer who discovered her passion for journalism through her work at the News Corporation UK. She has contributed to a number of publications including, The Voice newspaper,  the East London Advertiser and Afro Heat.
